On June 30th I blogged about the next version of ColdFusion MX codenamed “Merrimackâ€. Today, I received an e-mail from the ColdFusion product team inviting me to participate in testing this new version. Here is the text of the e-mail:
Hello,
The ColdFusion Product Team is pleased to invite you to participate in testing our Release Candidate (RC) for the ColdFusion MX Updater & ColdFusion MX 7.0.1 release, code-named Merrimack. This is the last major pre-release milestone towards releasing the Updater, and we sincerely hope you can take some time and put the product through its paces!
The Updater is an incremental release designed to update platform support, rollup all hot fixes and security fixes to-date, update internal OEM technology with new patches and bug fixes, and includes some small incremental functional improvements over the ColdFusion MX 7 release.
Please join the program by first accepting the Non Disclosure Agreement if you have not already, and then enter the Beta site (URL here) to read the RC documentation, download the installers, and to post messages to the Merrimack forums. The forums are defaulted to emails; to change your preferences in the forums, please go to (URL here) .
When returning to the beta site please go directly to: (URL here)
Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you!
The ColdFusion Product Team
Since I like to play around with the latest and greatest (and break things on occasion), I’ll accept the invitation.
