Oracle Books on Ning.com

Ning has been up and running for a while now, but only recently I had a bit of time to play with it. In case you do not know, Ning is a free online service for building social applications that enable anyone to match, transact, and communicate with other people.

With Ning, you can build and use social apps for just about anything. So, I went ahead and created (or cloned) the Oracle Books application. Using this application, you can share with the rest of us what Oracle books you have on your bookshelf, what you are currently reading and what you want to read. It even connects directly to Amazon.com. You can also rate, tag, and add comments to books.

Signing up is free and easy. Go ahead, give it a try. You can also clone your own application.

Great stuff! Thanks a lot for contributing to Ning. I’ve shelved a couple of the O’Reilly Oracle series that I bought a couple of years back. (I loves me some O’Reilly.) If you have any questions or problems regarding building on Ning, or just want to talk through ideas with someone, don’t hesitate to give me a yell: yozg (at) ninginc.com. Cheers!
