Blogger of the Year 2006

I have been chosen Blogger of the Year by Oracle Magazine in their fifth annual Editors’ Choice Awards, featured in the November – December 2006 issue of the magazine.

All I can say is that I’m honored, not only because I am featured in Oracle magazine as the Blogger of the Year, but also because I am featured on the same page as the Oracle Author of the Year, Jonathan Lewis.

Congratulations, Eddie. You have done many things to prod the rest of us OraBloggers into raising our game.

Be sure Tom Haunert gives you several copies of the magazine so you can present them to your folks – and your employer, if you think they might approve of blogging ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Cheers, APC

Well Done, Eddie. It’s just reward for the amount of effort you obviously put in. Good things seem to be happening to you recently ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now if only I could persuade my Housemates to take a break and think of something interesting to say about Oracle ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you all. I surely do not blog for the purpose of being recognized. I blog because I like it. However, I do appreciate recognition.

There are other Oracle bloggers that deserve recognition more than I do. I’m sure they will be sooner or later.

and finally a nice picture from you
I’m sure there is a nicer picture among the many snapshots the photographer took of me during the one hour photo shoot session. I do not know why they picked this one.

    several copies of the magazine
I will print several copies from here.

and your employer, if you think they might approve of blogging
Actually, I asked my employer if it was OK to publish their name in the magazine. I did not ask my employer for a permission to blog, though.

Indeed, good things are happening to me lately, but at the same time, I feel tired. I have just spent my yearly three week vacation at home with Juile. That’s the joy of life.

Congratulations Eddie! This is the best example of how doing something well because it’s what you want creates excellence.
