		<description>&lt;p&gt;I would presume that one of the attractions of the IT world is that you aren't judged by what you are (for example, a woman), but rather what you do.  Well, at least compared to other fields.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;For what it's worth, at least 90% of the (techie) blogs I read are written by men.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Nevertheless, it is always beneficial to get as many different viewpoints and perspectives as possible, so a little more diversity would be great.  But I'm not going to read something just because it's written by someone different; It has to be interesting and insightful.&lt;/p&gt;

I want the girls (and the boys too) to know that women have been involved in IT from the beginning.  But it is too bad that it is a man telling them this.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I work as an external (CSC) at Commerzbank AG and i am suprised how many women i meet in teams.
And this is a good thing
