The Easy Way to Share Oracle OpenWorld Photos

If you have a Flickr account, you may already know that you can post photos to your photostream by simply emailing them to a special super secret Flickr email address. However, Tim brought to my attention that you cannot email photos to a Flickr group, like the Oracle OpenWorld 2007 group for example. That’s too bad. An email would have been a nice and easy way to post photos to the group, especially if you are on the move and have a cameraphone.

But, despair not. As of now, you can use your cameraphone or any email program to email Oracle OpenWorld related photos directly into the newly created (unofficial) Oracle OpenWorld Flickr account. You do not even have to be a Flickr user. Just email your photos to:

future09ideas@photos.flickr.com

You can use the subject line to give your photo a title and the body to add a description. All photos will be automatically tagged openworld07 and added to the Oracle OpenWorld 2007 Flickr group and the (unofficial) Oracle OpenWorld Twitter timeline.

Snap. Email. Share. It’s as simple as that.

Notes: Photos uploaded to the Oracle OpenWorld Flickr account will be available under a Creative Commons license. Inappropriate photos will be deleted. The above email address will be inactivated shortly after the conference is over.
